Hi everyone. I hope you have been able to enjoy some of the nice weather we have been having. I went for quite a walk yesterday and enjoyed all of the sights of spring. Let’s see what is happening at church:
-What happens after Easter Sunday? Pr. Traci is starting a sermon series on the Book of Acts based on a writing by theologian Steve Paulson. We typically hear about the gospel reading on Sunday mornings. This will give us a chance to dig deeper into the time after Christ’s resurrection and ascension. This Sunday, we will be hearing about Acts Chapters 1 and 2. Please read them ahead of time if you can.
-Council retreat – This coming Saturday, starting at 10:00 am at Pr. Traci’s home – 10176 S. Bell Canyon Rd., Sandy. Lunch will be provided.
-April 21 – May 3rd – Pr Traci will be on vacation
-Lunch Bunch – This will be on Thursday, April 23rd, at noon. Location TBA. Unfortunately, Pr. Traci will be out of town.
-May 30th – LCMC Intermountain West District Annual Gathering at Good Shepherd in Sandy
– June 13-14 – Church camp out and Sunday morning service
-July 4 – Prayer tent at celebration in the park by the Aquatic Center in Tooele
-HVAC – Installation of our new HCAV is in process! We should have the new system in by this Sunday!
-Taco Tuesdays – These are still happening on Tuesdays at 5:30 pm at ‘Bout Time on Main Street! Come for the food and fellowship!
-Bible studies:
-Sunday 9 am – studying 2nd Kings with Pr Traci (once we finish 2 Kings, we wil be starting Everyday Revolutionary by J. D. Greear)
-Monday 11 am – Pr Rick leads a study of the week’s assigned Scripture verses at Harris Village in the gym
-Tuesday at 7 pm – Will resume on April 21st – studying The Narrow Path at Pr Rick and Bonnie’s home
