Hi everyone. What a great time we had last Sunday at the afternoon service!
-Thanks to everyone who was able to attend the ordination service last Sunday! It was so fun to have such a full service that we had to use the pew benches along the sides of the church!
-Thanks so much to the church council for a wonderful dinner after the service! It was a lot to get together, and everything was fantastic!
-This Sunday we have a couple songs that some of our newer folks may not be familiar with:
-In Christ Alone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1QjKqyGh8s&list=RDf1QjKqyGh8s&start_radio=1
-Baptized and Set Free: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgBX9ldM8oI&list=RDjgBX9ldM8oI&start_radio=1
-Pastor Traci will be heading OOT right after the service this Sunday to attend the LCMC Annual Gathering for a few days, then will head back to the East Coast to officiate a wedding, and finally spend some time with friends there. Mark M. will preach next Sunday, and Traci will fly back just in time to preach the following Sunday. For urgent matters, it is best to reach Traci by email – prtracihardell@gmail.com.
-As we head into the fall and winter months, we have a lot to look forward to:
- THIS THURSDAY IS DRIVE-THRU PRAYER: Please come and pray and/or wave a sign from 4-6 pm.
- Trivia Night – October 24th (Sat) at 7 pm at church
- Lunch Bunch – October 29th (Thurs) at noon – location TBA
- During October – We will have church members share how church attendance and giving have impacted their lives
- October 25th – Consecration Sunday – Members can submit pledges for the following year during the service, and then we will have a nice meal to celebrate after the service.
- Operation Christmas Box – It’s week 1 (THIS SUNDAY)- bring small toys to go in the boxes (examples: Small ball, jump rope, Slinky or yo-yo, Plastic animals, Magnets, Finger puppets)
- NOV. 29 – Advent starts
- DEC 18 – Harris Community Village Kids Christmas Celebration – we will be helping with craft booths and also collecting $10 gift cards for Santa to hand out to each child.
Lots going on as usual. I hope to see you on Sunday.
Blessings,
Pastor Traci
